random iTunes list

(from a friend on facebook)

Once you've been tagged... (1) Open iTunes or other mp3 player. (2) Go to SHUFFLE songs mode. (3) Write down the first 15 songs that come up--song title and artist--NO editing/cheating, please. (4) Choose 20 (or so) people to be tagged. It is generally considered to be in good taste to tag the person who tagged you.

If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about your musical tastes, or at least a random sampling thereof.

(To do this, go to "NOTES" under tabs on your profile page, paste these instructions in the body of the note, enter your 15 Shuffle Songs, Click 'Preview' below to tag 25 people (in the right hand corner of the app) then click Publish, the little blue box at the bottom of your screen....)

Installed Fedora 11 on my netbook

I finally got a chance to put Fedora 11 on my Aspire One netbook. I had hoped to show it off at our Installfest a couple Saturdays ago, but alas, the Fedora release schedule slipped a couple weeks, and it wasn't available until long after the Installfest.

During the post-installation, after I added the rpmfusion repos, I ran across Logjam again, and I recalled creating a Livejournal account long ago. Looks like another year has come and gone.

This coming Wednesday we're celebrating the 15th anniversary of BLU, the Boston Linux & Unix user group. It's been 12 years since The Boston Computer Society dissolved. I miss the days we used to spend at the BCS Resource Center. It was kind of like a continuation of college life. But all things eventually come to an end, alas.

But enough fun for one day. I still have unfinished chores to take care of before going to sleep.

Current Mood: complacentcomplacent
